Cardiff International Airport

We are delighted to be progressing a joint project with Cardiff International Airport to develop a 1MW solar farm.

Construction of the 1MW solar site is set to be completed in the next 18 months. The new solar farm will provide the airport with electricity through the use of a private wire. It is estimated that the farm will provide a carbon reduction of approximately 20,508 tonnes over the next 25 years – a saving of roughly 860 tonnes per year.

CENIN is submitting a planning application for a wind scheme on Manmoel Common. Full assessments are underway and we are likely to enter the ‘Developments of National Significance’ (DNS) process.

Llanwonno Wind
CENIN were granted planning permission for wind turbines to be installed at Llanwonno, near Porth in the Rhondda. CENIN is in the process of ordering the turbines and preparing to build the site.
